Fertility & Reproductive Wellness
Specialized Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy for Fertility, Reproductive Health & the Pelvis
Fertility and reproductive health are influenced by much more than hormones and reproductive organs alone. The pelvic floor, abdominal tissues, connective tissue, scar tissue, organ mobility, circulation, and nervous system all play important roles in the health and function of the pelvic region.
At Magic City Physical Therapy, we take a whole-body approach to reproductive wellness, using specialized pelvic floor physical therapy and visceral mobilization to address restrictions and areas of dysfunction that may be affecting the pelvis and surrounding structures.
Our goal is not to treat fertility itself, but to optimize the musculoskeletal and connective tissue environment surrounding the reproductive organs and help your body function as efficiently as possible.
Gender-Affirming Pelvic Floor Therapy
Pelvic Health Care That Sees You, Respects You, and Supports Your Goals
You deserve healthcare where you can feel comfortable being yourself.
At Magic City Physical Therapy, we provide gender-affirming pelvic floor therapy in Hoover, Alabama, and the surrounding Birmingham metro for transgender, nonbinary, gender-diverse, and gender-questioning individuals. We welcome people at every stage of their journey, whether you are considering gender-affirming care, currently transitioning, preparing for or recovering from surgery, or simply looking for a pelvic health provider who understands and respects your experience.
Pelvic health is deeply personal. We understand that discussing your body, anatomy, sexual health, bladder or bowel function, or previous medical experiences can feel vulnerable. Our goal is to create a private, judgment-free, and supportive environment where you can ask questions, establish boundaries, and receive care that is individualized to you.
Lymphedema & Lipedema Therapy
Specialized Care to Help You Feel More Comfortable in Your Body
Living with swelling, heaviness, fullness, or changes in your limbs can be frustrating—especially when you’re not sure why it’s happening or what can be done about it.
At Magic City Physical Therapy, we provide specialized lymphedema and lipedema therapy in Hoover, Alabama, and throughout the Birmingham metro area. Our physical and occupational therapists are Certified Lymphedema Therapists with advanced training in the evaluation and treatment of lymphatic disorders, including training in the Vodder technique for Manual Lymph Drainage.
We understand that lymphedema and lipedema are more than physical conditions. Swelling, changes in your body, difficulty finding clothing that fits, discomfort, and concerns about how your body looks or feels can affect confidence and everyday life. Our goal is to provide knowledgeable, compassionate care in a private and comfortable environment where you feel supported—not judged.
Male Pelvic Floor Therapy
Pelvic Floor Therapy Isn’t Just for Women
Men have a pelvic floor, too—and it plays an important role in bladder and bowel function, sexual health, core stability, and pelvic support.
Pelvic floor dysfunction in men is common, but many men don’t realize their symptoms may be connected to the pelvic floor. Others may have spent years being told that their symptoms are simply stress, aging, prostate problems, or something they just have to live with.
At Magic City Physical Therapy, we provide specialized pelvic floor therapy for men in a private, comfortable, one-on-one setting. We take the time to understand your symptoms, identify the factors contributing to them, and create an individualized treatment plan based on your goals.
Whether you’re dealing with pelvic pain, urinary changes, constipation, sexual dysfunction, or recovering from prostate cancer treatment, pelvic floor physical therapy may be an important part of your care.
Pediatric Pelvic Floor Therapy
Helping Children Feel Comfortable, Confident & In Control
Children can experience pelvic floor dysfunction, too. Constipation, bedwetting, urinary accidents, frequent bathroom trips, bowel accidents, and painful bowel movements can be frustrating for children and overwhelming for parents who aren’t sure what to do next.
At Magic City Physical Therapy, we provide specialized pediatric pelvic floor physical therapy and occupational therapy in Hoover, Alabama, and throughout the Birmingham metro area. We help children improve bladder and bowel function, develop healthy toileting habits, improve pelvic floor coordination, and feel more confident participating in the activities they enjoy.
Our pediatric pelvic health program takes a whole-child approach, considering the physical, functional, sensory, behavioral, and daily-life factors that can influence bladder and bowel function. We typically see children age 4 and older in our clinic with a parent or guardian involved in their care. For younger children and families who live outside the Birmingham area, we also offer Virtual Family Coaching to provide parents with education and practical strategies they can use at home.
Our approach is warm, age-appropriate, and family-centered. We know that talking about accidents, constipation, bedwetting, or toileting can feel uncomfortable for children. Our goal is to make pelvic health feel less confusing and much more manageable.
Pregnancy & Postpartum Therapy
Supporting Your Body Through Pregnancy, Birth & Beyond
Pregnancy and childbirth are incredible experiences, but they also place significant physical demands on your body. As your body changes, you may experience pain, weakness, pelvic pressure, changes in your core or pelvic floor, or difficulty staying active and returning to the activities you love.
At Magic City Physical Therapy, our physical and occupational therapists provide specialized pregnancy and postpartum rehabilitation for women in Hoover, Alabama, and throughout the Birmingham metro area. We help you stay active and comfortable during pregnancy, prepare your body for birth, recover after delivery, and confidently return to exercise, work, and everyday life.
Whether you’re newly pregnant, preparing for birth, newly postpartum, or still experiencing changes years after having a baby, we’re here to help.

Feel More Comfortable, Confident, and Connected to Your Body
Your pelvic health is an important part of your overall health—but it’s not something you should have to simply “live with.”
Whether you’re experiencing pelvic floor concerns for the first time in your teens or twenties, navigating pregnancy and postpartum changes, noticing new symptoms during perimenopause, or adjusting to life after menopause, pelvic floor therapy can help you feel stronger, more comfortable, and more confident in your body.
At Magic City Physical Therapy, we provide specialized women’s pelvic floor therapy in Hoover and the Birmingham area in a private, comfortable environment where you can feel heard, respected, and supported.
