About Us

Our Mission

Magic City Physical Therapy was founded out of a deep desire to create a better experience for people seeking specialized pelvic health and lymphedema care.

Pelvic and lymphatic health are essential to living well, and they deserve specialized care. Combined, our clinicians bring more than 50 years of experience as physical and occupational therapists, along with advanced training and specialized expertise in pelvic health, lymphatic care, and related areas of rehabilitation. That experience allows us to provide knowledgeable, thoughtful care while still treating every person as an individual.

We envisioned a place where people could talk openly about concerns that are often difficult or uncomfortable to discuss, feel truly heard, and receive the time and attention they deserve. A place where you don’t have to feel embarrassed, rushed, or like just another patient on a schedule.

Magic City was created as a specialty physical therapy clinic dedicated to pelvic health and lymphatic care. We intentionally designed our space to feel welcoming, private, and comfortable, creating an environment where you can feel at ease, focus on your care, and know that your experience is designed around your unique needs.

Your treatment is always one-on-one and tailored specifically to you. We take the time to understand the whole person—not just the symptoms you are experiencing—to identify contributing factors and create a treatment plan that reflects your body, your goals, and your life. Whether you’re seeking care for pelvic pain, bladder or bowel concerns, pregnancy and postpartum changes, sexual health, fertility and reproductive wellness, lymphedema or lipedema, you deserve individualized care from a therapist who listens.

We proudly provide specialized care for women, men, children, and individuals seeking gender-affirming care. No concern is too common, too complex, or too difficult to talk about. Our goal is to create a space where you can walk through the door feeling comfortable knowing you are in the right place.

We also believe that education is an essential part of healthcare. Beyond our clinic walls, we are committed to helping our community better understand pelvic health and lymphatic conditions and to making conversations about these topics feel normal—not taboo.

Because leaking urine shouldn’t be something you simply learn to live with. Pelvic pain isn’t something you have to accept. Sex shouldn’t hurt. Bowel and bladder concerns shouldn’t control your life. Swelling shouldn’t keep you from doing the things you love.

You deserve to understand your body, have your concerns taken seriously, and receive the time and expertise needed to help you feel better and live fully.

Dr. Jennifer Spencer

PT, DPT, CLT, OCS

Dr. Jennifer Spencer is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with more than 18 years of clinical experience and the founder of Magic City Physical Therapy. With a strong foundation in orthopedics and advanced training in pelvic health, lymphatic care, and visceral mobilization, Jennifer takes a comprehensive, whole-body approach to understanding the connection between movement, the nervous system, connective tissue, and overall health.

Jennifer specializes in pelvic health and lymphatic care for people of all ages and genders, including gender-affirming care. She has a particular interest in women’s reproductive health, natural fertility, and the role that pelvic and abdominal mobility can play in supporting overall reproductive wellness.

She believes that pelvic floor symptoms do not always originate in the pelvis. Her extensive orthopedic background allows her to look beyond the immediate location of a patient’s symptoms and consider how the hips, spine, abdomen, breathing mechanics, connective tissue, and other areas of the body may contribute to pelvic dysfunction. Her specialized training in visceral mobilization further allows her to address restrictions and mobility within the abdominal and pelvic region that may be overlooked with a more traditional approach to pelvic floor therapy.

Jennifer is passionate about helping patients understand the why behind their symptoms—not simply treating the symptoms themselves. She believes that when patients understand what is happening in their bodies and why they are experiencing certain symptoms, they become more confident, informed, and active participants in their care.

Through private, individualized, one-on-one treatment, Jennifer creates an environment where patients feel heard, respected, and comfortable discussing concerns that can often be difficult to talk about. Her goal is to provide highly specialized care while equipping each patient with the knowledge and tools they need to feel confident in their body, understand their treatment, and return to the activities and life they love.

Jennifer earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Auburn University and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina. She is residency-trained and Board Certified in Orthopedics, a Certified Lymphedema Therapist, and a Certified Dry Needling Practitioner.

A self-described health enthusiast, Jennifer is continually exploring nutrition, exercise, wellness, and other ways to optimize health and quality of life. Outside the clinic, she enjoys running, reading, and watching her children play sports.
